Network Fligth Training with Condor

Jean-François Gombault

Fayence Pilot friends, hello to you all !

To keep the taste of flying in spite of the current restrictions and to widen your horizon, I propose you to organize network flights on Condor2 …

The organization Condor café (Volunteer) was kind enough to lend us a time slot for the Fayence club training sessions. Of course this flight will also be public and we may welcome a few Condor moustaches.

These flights will take place twice a week, on Wednesday and Sunday with a departure at 10 am.

To be able to connect to the next flight from Café de Fayence and/or fly on a network flight from Fayence Sur la scène ARC ALPIN 2 ( AA2) here is what you need to do:

Connect you to Condor café

http://condor-velivole.eu

Register on this site.

Because you have a very nice name, don’t try to hide it behind a ridiculous nickname, because the contacts in flight on the radio channel will be more difficult.

Login under your identity and go to the forum under the heading « We start here » then « welcome new members ».

Here after the step to follow to be able to fly in network :

  • Register on this site.

If you have a very nice name, don’t try to hide it behind a ridiculous nickname, because the contacts in flight on the radio channel will be more difficult.

Login under your identity and go to the forum under the heading « We start here » then « welcome new members ».

You will see the steps to take to fly in network:

  • Own the scene used for Fayence : Arc Alpin 2 or AA2 – (be careful, it is different from AAW which is not network compatible)

Most of the scenes are free and you can find them ***here***. (Don’t forget to subscribe to the CONDOR CLUB. A small contribution of 10 euros allows you to download them faster…)

  • Install a small utility : Condor café server List

CondorCaféServerList you’ll find *** there***. This lists in a window all the servers offered (in brown-coffee the active flights that can be reached, in yellow the flights locked by a password and in red the active flights that cannot be reached).

The server dedicated to the Fayence session is called the « Cafe de Fayence ».

With Condor closed, just double-click on the active flight « Le café de Fayence » (in brown-coffee) and Condor launches in multiplayer mode and you’re networked with your friends from Fayence.

VERY IMPORTANT: Seeing each other in the game is good, being able to talk to each other is infinitely better.

Condor café has dedicated a frequency to us on Teamspeak called « Fayence School ».

  • It is also the most practical way to glean information, especially when you are a beginner on Condor. Also, I can’t recommend you too much to install a software that allows exchanges between all the pilots via a voice channel as long  as you have a microphone.

I’m talking about Teamspeak 3. To download it, it’s *** there***.
To set up our communication server (Condor Café) it’s ***there***.

And in my opinion, it’s the first thing to do, to meet mustached Condorians who are willing to go to any lengths to help you.

Condor cafe has dedicated us a frequency on Teamspeak called « Fayence School. »

But the second one could be to leave a note of presentation (with your portrait) in the Trombinoscope, in order to get better acquainted with the world of Condor café which offers network flights every day at 8 am, 1.30 pm, 5.30 pm and 8 pm! The access is free and you will meet good pilots who will be happy to welcome you on the frequency of the day’s flight!

See you soon at the Café de Fayence and… FLIGHT !
